At Optimal Swimming Equipment, we stand behind our products like an Olympic swimmer stands behind their training. If you’re not completely satisfied with your purchase of swim gear, lifeguard equipment, or training accessories, we’re here to help with our straightforward returns process.
Our Return Policy
We accept returns within 15 days of receiving your order. To be eligible for a return:
- Items must be unused, in original condition, and in their original packaging
- Proof of purchase is required
- Certain items may be excluded (see below)
Important Note: For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns on:
- Opened packages of swimwear (Boys’, Girls’, Men’s categories)
- Used guard & rescue equipment
- Electronics that have been activated
- Personal items from the Lifeguard category
How to Initiate a Return or Exchange

Step 2: Wait for Approval
Our customer service team will respond within 1-2 business days with:
- Return authorization (if approved)
- Return shipping instructions
- Exchange confirmation (if applicable)
Step 3: Ship Your Return
Once approved, please ship your return to:

We recommend using a trackable shipping service and retaining your proof of postage.
Refund Process
Once we receive and inspect your return:
- Refunds will be processed within 3-5 business days
- Your refund will be issued to your original payment method (Visa, MasterCard, JCB, or PayPal)
- Shipping costs are non-refundable (except for defective items)
- For exchanges, we’ll ship your new item once we process your return
Damaged or Defective Items
If you receive a damaged or defective product (which is rare – we check our equipment as thoroughly as a coach checks stroke technique):

- Include photos of the damage/defect
- We’ll arrange for a replacement or refund and cover return shipping
International Returns
For customers outside the U.S.:
- You’re responsible for return shipping costs
- Customs fees are non-refundable
- Please mark the package as “Returned Goods” to avoid additional charges
